15% of people with mild COVID-19 suffer symptoms for at least 8 months

Just over a quarter of people infected with mild COVID-19 experience symptoms for two months with around one in seven experiencing symptoms for at least eight months, according to Swedish researchers who studied 323 healthcare workers with mild COVID-19. Among these participants, one in 12 reported significant disruption to their work life, one in seven saw disruption in their social life and one in eight their home life in the long term.
