Around 1 in 20 adults who catch RSV end up in hospital, according to a US study. The authors looked at over 65,000 people across three data sets and six seasons of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and found that approximately 1 in 20 adults ended up in hospital within 28 days of the infection. The authors say the results of this study highlight the public health need for RSV prevention and treatment.
