Legalised cannabis may increase the incidence of psychosis
As more countries around the world legalise cannabis for medical or recreational use, we can expect to see a rise in the number of users suffering from psychotic episodes, according to UK and Australian experts in a 'Viewpoint' article. They say the available evidence suggests a clear link between using high-potency cannabis and an increased risk of psychosis. Countries should consider controlling the potency of cannabis available if they are to legalise the drug, they suggest.
