Kids' early social and emotional education pays off

Preschool social and emotional learning programs using things such as circle time and storytelling, help kids understand and regulate their emotions to be more socially and emotionally competent, and have fewer behavioural and emotional problems, according to Australian research. The researchers say early childhood is a crucial period for children’s social and emotional development, and this study shows the benefit of social and emotional learning interventions for young children.
