Hypothermia was critical for Thai cave boys, says Dr Richard Harris

Hypothermia and inefficient team coordination were identified as critical components of the Thai cave rescue, after the first day of operations saw one of the boys develop hypothermia en route to the hospital, according to Aussie cave hero, Dr Richard Harris. Dr Harris and other Thai based rescue team members have outlined the details of the treatment of Thai cave rescue boys in a letter to the New England Journal of Medicine, including the techniques used to warm the boys once they were out of the cave.
