Can we still save Maui dolphins?

Embargoed until: Publicly released:

As global biodiversity loss increases, species are having to fight harder to survive, and we're having to fight harder to save them. But despite these efforts, numbers in some native species - like the critically endangered Maui dolphin, threatened freshwater mussels, and endangered Otago and Grand skinks - continue to decline. If we're to save these species, we need to put some serious work into the next 30 years of conservation efforts, and we may have already missed the boat for Maui dolphins, the authors say.
