AFL full of unhealthy sponsorship

Embargoed until: Publicly released:
Australian researchers had a punt at trying to identify how healthy sponsors were on AFL club websites or player uniforms, and found that all 18 clubs had at least one unhealthy sponsor. The researchers rated the nutritional value from each sponsor's product(s) on a traffic light system, finding 15 clubs were funded by alcohol companies, and five had gambling companies and casino logos. While there were 12 teams that were funded by sponsors that fit into the 'green' category, none of them displayed their logos on player uniforms.
