Biography

Paul Griffin is the Director of Infectious Diseases at Mater Health Services in Brisbane and Associate Professor at the University of Queensland School of Medicine and Mater Research Institute. He has fellowships in Infectious Diseases from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, in Clinical Microbiology from the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and from the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine. Paul is the Principal Investigator and Medical Director at Qpharm/Nucleus Network; a specialised contract research organisation specialising in early and late phase clinical trials where he has been the principal investigator on in excess of 120 clinical trials, predominantly in Vaccines, Infectious Diseases and Malaria Human Challenge studies. Paul is also a Director and Scientific Advisory Board member of the Immunisation Coalition. Finally, as a Clinical Microbiologist he maintains an active interest in diagnostic microbiology.
