Students flock to Brisbane for a HUGE dose of science and technology!

Antarctic science, drone racing, fossils and forensics are just a few of the things Australian students will explore during the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) Year 12 Program this January in Brisbane.

They NYSF Year 12 Program is one of the best-known science experiences in Australia for young people. The second of three sessions (Session B), kicks off for it’s 37th year on January 8. It is designed to give students real life exposure to the diverse study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and foster life-long science literacy. Run for youth, by youth who have recently done the program, close to 200 (per session) students get to live in for 11 days on The University of Queensland campus and experience what being a STEM student is like.

Participants will attend lectures and workshops, visit science and technology labs and industry and facility site tours around Brisbane. Our hands on STEM visits are a chance for students to have a go at STEM. These are highly photographic!  There are numerous lectures by some of Australia's leading scientists featuring cutting-edge science.
